Sports Friendly - A new way to discover, or rediscover, the fun of sport.

Family Softball

The first sport on offer this summer is Family Softball. It is open to all ages and sizes and it is simply to get people outdoors in the sun (fingers crossed) to get some exercise as well as meet some new faces. The key behind Sports Friendly projects is fun first, exercise second!

Location:
Royal High School playing fields, Bath.
(Behind the MOD on lansdown road).

Cost:
Adult: £5
Child: £2.50

Equipment:
Gloves, Bats and balls supplied, (Right handed only at present, apologies, there is a current shortage in supply.)

Chairs and beverages are not supplied, however do bring your own if you wish; beverages are a matter of individual choice while alcohol is not recommended; BBQ is OK if you wish.

Come try the fun sport of softball. This club is very simply for those that want to do a bit of exercise whilst meeting new people and having a good time. Every Friday until August the 4th Sports Friendly will be running this social event to get people out and about in the summer sun with other similar minded people.

The evenings will consist of 30 minutes of Coaching from highly experienced players and then this will be followed up with a couple of matches to finish off each evening. If you have never played before or want to try it again contact me on the email address in the bottom left corner and I will be happy to book you a place.

The idea is Family Sport and so children will be welcomed. We will provide a opportunities for the young children to join in, so they can give it a try as well.

Enjoyment as a family is what we are looking for so BBQ and drinks will be the suggestion of the day. Try something new and remember sport isn’t just for the sporty. Anyone can throw a ball !!
